| Women Painting Women (R)evolution 2013, Townsend Atelier, Chattanooga, TN, September 7-27. This international juried exhibition features the artwork of women by women is juried by independent curator and scholar, Ellen Simak, former Curator of the Hunter Museum of American Art. From over 500 entries from 26 states across the US, Canada, Spain, Germany and the Netherlands, 36 works were selected for this incredible exhibition by some of the best contemporary female artists. Works are available for purchase. ART THROW DOWN | September 7 5-8 p.m. Watch artists Mia Bergeron and Cindy Procious paint in front of a live audience in the spirit of friendly competition. Artwork will be auctioned off at the end of the demo. The exhibition will be on view at Townsend Atelier, September 7-27. Works will be available for purchase and will feature painting, drawing, printmaking and mixed media works from contemporary female artists across the United States. |
